Us: What was your childhood like?

Killa K: My childhood was pretty alright. I made pretty good grades in school and always been competitive even back then. I had a big imagination on things I love to do and things I loved for example being that big music star. I stayed low key with things except around people I normally hung around.

Us: What inspired you to start making music?

Killa K: What inspired me was seeing my friends (homeboys) do it. I saw they formed a group as was like I want to be apart of that. So I wrote my first rhyme and they liked it so from there the story goes on.

Us: Who is/are your biggest influence(s) and why?

Killa K: My biggest influences are my 2 partners Terrence Johnson aka Nuke and Kelvin Keys aka Big Throwed. They died back in 2008 in which we had a terrible car accident. We always talked what we were going to do and go with this music. Thinking about them makes me go harder for what I believe in and I know they’re cheering me on to be the best I can and make it.

Us: What do you want your fans to feel when they hear your music?

Killa K: I want my fans to feel free and be their self. I love being different and I love all types of music my genre is really unspecified. Also, I want my fans to feel success when they hear me, nothing is impossible about a dream.

Us: What can we expect from you? What are you working on? What do you have coming out?

Killa K: You can expect a lot to come from me from music videos, performances, to mixtapes. I’m working on a mixtape right now called “Bow To Tha Bayou: Music Melting Pot” meaning me being from Louisiana touching a lot of music genres and having multiple features from artists of all types.
